hi, my name is alex, im 24 y.o male and ive had a chronic fissure for about 3-4 years ive lost track. I've tried quite a few things like lidocaine with dilating, rectogesic (nitrate 0.2%) and stool softeners with high fibre diet etc.
What happens is it seems to heal, sometimes for a couple of months, but like quite a few posts ive read after 1 or 2 firm BM's the fissure reappears. At the moment i'm considering the LIS surgery because im pretty sure my situation is now chronic.
Gonna go to the CRS and see what he thinks from here cos ive had enough.
Love to hear what u guys think, thanks a lot :D

I just wanted to say welcome. I love people from Australia. You probably have a really keen accent. Image On the serious side, have you tried Diliatzem? I was able to heal my fissure by using that. It takes a long while of keeping stools soft to heal that area. I was up and down for about 2 years. Many people feel squatting is helpful in healing also. Good luck.
