I lay on my back soak everything upto my neck..LOL throw my legs (one on each side of the tub) so my butt really gets to get the warm water  sorry if TMI . Just don't sit up in the tub on your bottom or it will do nothing but cause pain lay back and relax.

Well, with our tub enclosure (it's glass and sits on top of the tub, I might have to get some type of spongey thing and put it under my backside. There will be no way to stick my legs over the side. Wish I could . . .

Sue there's no way I can put my legs either side of the bath either our bathrooms sooo small its against 1 wall. Bug I know what you mean about germs I have a shower after any bath to wash everything away.
In agony today, was fine all morning done the washing up and got both me and my daughter ready, had just finished making up the changing bag and had to rush to the toilet, sorry for too much info but it was loose and burny, came back downstairs and within 10 mins I was there again, another loose burny bm, had a quick shower to clean the area and help with the burning feeling and now my tummys seriously hurting, feels all knotted and tight and horrible, its not like diarehha (can't spell) but I feel awful, this happens twice sometimes more a month and I dunno why, gonna talk to my gp when I see him February. So sick of all this tummy and bum hurting.

If you have bath tub anxiety why not clean it first, then shower beforehand to clean yourself. Then fill the bath with hot water (Germs cant survive in hot water) - wait for it to cool or just add cold water.
As for me i fill the bath to my neck and lay on my back with my legs raised so my feet are flat on the bottom of the bath. I then lay there and only raise my head to sip from my huge mug of tea. It also helps if i relax and read a book or watch TV using my ipad in the bathroom.

fedup -
I know what you mean (about being so sick of this). I had a burning/sore day yesterday (may happen again today, who knows??) - and I told my husband he oughta just shoot me. Last night it felt like I had a UTI, on top of everything else. I'm hoping that's just the radiating discomfort from the AF.
Davo - I think I will have to start getting in the tub, like it or not. I'd go ahead and take my shower - so, the tub would only be for the fissure. --- After yesterday's spike of burning and soreness (seemingly for no reason I could think of), I'm wondering if anything is going to help me, at this point . . .
