Does It Have to Hurt to Bleed?

Postby dk579 » 18 Jan 2012, 13:07

Last year, I visited both my GP and my CRS. Neither of them could fully see my fissure, though my CRS said he could see where my fissure was likely healing. Neither of them could see any hemorrhoids with their anoscopes. Since then, I've had a retear now and then. Ok, no big whoop.
Then yesterday, I saw the streaks of bright red blood on my stool for the first time in several months. Now when that happened before, I could feel the infamous "glass tear." This time, I felt no pain whatsoever. Granted though, it was a pretty sizable stool (sorry for the grossness).
I'm trying to calm my mind a bit -- but can a fissure bleed with no actual pain involved?

Mine didn't bleed much at all. But I do have an internal hemorrhoid that on occasion will bleed with no pain
