First CRS Visit...

Postby pat123 » 02 Feb 2012, 18:30

Hey y'all...
Had my first CRS visit today. He said I had a minor surface AF and I was doing the right thing with diet and supplements. Gave me a 2% diltiazem cream and told me to stay on the miralax. See him if it doesn't go away in a month. Not bad. Nice guy, very knowledgeable... wants to get this cured without surgery.
Stay up and get better!

yeah woi, it was pretty painless. Unfortunately my AF started bleeding again this morning... first time in a week.
So now i'm using the diltiazem and hoping for the best.

Sorry to hear it, these things never seem to just heal in a linear fashion.
Hang in there,

Sputnik,
Have a read of this link here:
http://anal-fissure.org/t1335-aftermath-of-crs-exam-with-anuscope
I did NOT like being examined with an anuscope. Do not be afraid of speaking out to the doctor.

yeah, and I had no pain and he was able to look around... but the thing seemed pretty big, but it was OK.
he said that many of his patients with active fissures deep will not let him use the thing because it hurts too much.
