Inflammation

Postby buttgirl » 23 Oct 2007, 12:57

OK, I'm just about healed from the cuts, got a pesky llittle area that is bothering me just a little, but I am still experienceing inflammation in the area. I have been using cortizone suppositories, which help. Some days I don't need them, other days I need two. Sometimes there's very little inflammation, sometimes it's pronounced and my hemmie flares as well.

Anyone experienceing anything similar? How do you cope?

Chris,
How much of the essential Omegas (3/6/9) do you take everyday? Can you up the dosage some?...they are great natural anti-inflammatories...

I take the omegas and a supplement called "Sit Easy" for rectal tissue health that I get from www.vitacost.com.
I am also taking the enzyme you had read about-Serrapaptase.
I don't know if those are anti-inflammatories though.
I wonder if aloe vera would help internally in the rectum?

I have started taking serrapeptase too, though I think it is too soon to tell how effective that is.
I think I will up the Omega 3-6-9, also. thanksfor the suggestions. and I thought that I would feel better once the cut healed or mainly so!!

i think I will try the sit easy also.

i would cleanse gently the area with hydrogen peroxide.
then pat gently dry.
add a thin coating of Vicks Vapor Rub.
it will feel good.
initially if you haven't tried the Vicks, it would seem like it would burn but if you just let it do its thing, in less than five minutes you will feel a very cooling effect and the inflammed area goes numb but also the pain subsides. i use it for when my skin tag gets irritated and it works like a charm.
else, if you haven't tried the tinactin, i would give it a go on the inflammed area. you'll be surprised.
if everything else fails, then you can try your desitin ointment as a third option and as a fourth, some good old aloe vera cooled in the fridge but straight from the plant - not an ointment or cream or juice.....just the gel from the plant itself.
good luck.
