Is an enema risky for a fissure that's healing?

Why would you want to give yourself an enema? An enema is just a means of flushing your bowel out.

I have an appt with my gastro dr and he wants to do banding also if the fissure's healed. I'm also wondering if the banding's risky if the fissure just recently healed up... ?

My CRS told me that we will never know for sure, but he thinks I may have caused my fissure by giving myself an enema prior to an appointment with him (the fissure wasn't there on my previous visit). If it were me, I would hold off on the enema until the fissure is healed, just to be safe.

anything that is done in the anal area when you have a fissure carries with it some risk to the fissure. The type of enema you will have to use has irritating chemicals in it, and the procedure of banding itself also carries risk for your fissure. I guess the best you can do is prioritize the troubles you are having to determine what the best possible timing would be to incorporate the different procedures you are needing to have done. It's tough to know because there isn't any way to know beforehand how any if these things will affect the fissure.
