Hello can I firstly say I cannot believe I have just found this group.
I am 24 and have been suffering with fissures for 5 month after the birth of my little girl. I have tried all manner of creams, lotions potions and diet but the diet is very hard to control as I suffer from coeliac disease. All creams I have tried burn like hell and leave me in a worse position than before. I have been to the toilet again today for a BM and I cant take the pain anymore. I had to call my partner out from work as I cant walk sit down let alone look after my baby. I have called the dr in tears and have an appt later. hoping this will be my last visit and they refer me for surgery. I cannot takr any more of this awful pain. So thats where I am at now and hello to everyone x

Hi DeeBear,
I'm so glad you found this forum, but am so sorry you are in so much pain, especially with a baby to care for. We all understand your pain and desperation. It's really great though that you have a dr. appt. today and I hope it goes well for you. Have you ever seen a colorectal specialist for your fissure?

Yes, it is a wonderful site to come to for encouragement and information! You're so right about it being so so hard to have to wait for appointments and referrals and such, and it can give you some emotional relief to just know you're finally getting somewhere closer to a plan for healing.
