Hi Harro,
So sorry you've been suffering, but excited for you to have the surgery and put an end to the whole ordeal of a chronic fissure
I've haven't had any of the other painful symptoms you've described...so not sure what they are or if they at all could be attributed to the fissure

. Sorry I can't be of any help there.
I did have lis though...what I experienced was pain and discomfort for the first few days, but I could definitely tell that it was from the surgery itself..the fissure pain/spasms had stopped :D . The meds prescribed to me at the hospital I only took for 1 1/2 days...after that I only required advil to keep me comfortable. The first week, I mostly rested...but was absolutely able to get up and walk around slowly, it was sitting that was most uncomfortable. I continued to eat as I did before surgery, and also continued with the sitz baths.
I like to recommend at least one week for recovery time... it just takes some time because of the area that you are healing and being how it's used for nearly everything we do...it is kind of expected that it needs some extra rest and relaxation initially to begin the healing process.
If you can set aside two weeks for recovery, imo, that would be the ultimate amount of time to get you well on your way to healing

.
Best Wishes to you and please keep us updated with your progress
Angel
