Well, I'm back again, I think I've been away from here for a good while, the main reason being that I've had a relatively good time with minimal discomfort so decided to plod along with my life, that was until now, I've just had a bit of a viral bug which left me with stomach upset and having 7-8 BM's a day, with this I felt the unforgettable pain which I know all too well...ARGH!!
I have never been 100% pain free in the past 4 years, for those of you that don't know, I had LIS and Fissurectomy on the 4th August 2010 and never really healed properly, I went on a never ending cycle of pain and discomfort, I'd say within the past 9 months I had gotten to a more comfortable zone and was able to maintain a semi-decent life.
I've been through quite a bit since my whole ordeal started and have not been able to get properly healed, my CRS said last year that it's possible that I could have ongoing pain for life, it's not unheard of in a minority of patients, "typical" that's just what I needed to hear..not!
So I'm currently hitting the creams again and hoping for the best, it's very hard to keep positive because I know this thing all too well, anyway I hope everyone else is keeping as good as to be expected.

I'm so sorry that the reason you're back is because of a flare. I can relate to the likelihood of being a "lifer" with this problem.
I've read many of your posts in the archives and so in that sense it is wonderful to see you back again. I wish your coming back was just to pop in and say hello.
I hope your current flare is short lived and you are able to return to more comfortable days soon.

Hey sav, it's good to be back! The only thing passing through (with difficulty) is my BM LOL
