New pain today

Postby CrackinUp » 24 Feb 2013, 14:19

I've have a new pain downstairs today. More of a throbbing / burning / irritation. It's not really sore, more annoying, and didn't seem to be triggered by a BM.
Started at around 2pm and still have it now. Bath didn't seem to help, although I may try another one soon. Nitro seemed to ease it a bit. Perhaps it's a mild spasm or spasm with a healing fissure? Oddly enough breaking wind seems to relieve it for a bit.
Anyway, this weekend still better than last, which was better than the weekend before that. And why on earth am I always worse on a weekend? I swear its my anxiety taking over because I'm not busy enough. Such a slow progress!!

Crachinupwhen we have fissures it seems that we become aware of every single change that had to do with our anal area.
In all the months I had the fissure I have experience and still experiencing different sides of anal pain and discomfortrt.
If you were doing fine for a few days this is just a minor set back, just do what you been doing to be where you are right now and give it some time for the discomfort ease.
The burning and irritation is something that tend to last longer when healing once the spams are gone.

Oh no Crackin, it may be part of the healing process. The burning is the worst for me. I have found that lubrication pre BM helps, then straight into Sitz bath, then dry then lubricate.
Has the throbbing/ burning been constant?

Yeah it's been fairly constant, although I'm just out the bath and it seems to be ok now?! It's just so strange that I had nothing until around 2pm. I have never tried lubricating per BM as I'm scared of disturbing the axe wound (ok, slight exaggeration) lol :)
I have a confession to make too... I had 2 small glasses of wine last night. Every time I try a small amount of spices, coffee or wine I get irritated the next day. Please don't tell me off for being naughty!!
Diet definitely affects the after burn it seems, despite relatively painless BMs.

And my three favourite things to consume are, typically, curry, coffee and wine.
Why couldn't I break a bone or something? In fact I can't ever remember being at the doctors for anything other than this type of issue! A few years back I found a lump in my testicles and had to get them scanned!

Yes Axe wound is about right! I wish I could cut the bottom half of my body off right now!
I know what you mean about the burn, yet I haven't touched any alcohol, spicy food or anything remotely enjoyable for the past 5 months.
I have a sparkling Rose in the refrigerator that I might just go and crack open now! Got nothing to lose, I am not healing anyway! Joking.
I would stay away from the wine, cos you were irritated the other day from the Coffee and wine. I know it is awful, but hopefully we can enjoy these things again, someday!!!
Naughty man! Wine and coffee doh!

Crackinup, be consistent, even when now you have to give up on your favorite foods and drinks is not going to be forever.
I know, I had to give up spicy food, I love spicy food, guess what, I have been introducing the spicy food now and I am doing well as long is only a bit at a time.
When you are in that stage that already weeks or a month of two has passed without discomfort, then you can try to add something that you used to like before and had to give up.
Trial and error, just don't rush anything yet.
Is hope after all.

Oh hell... slight sharp / razor style sensation during BM this morning, which was not as soft as usual, although not bad or anything. Wasn't really painful but I'm still a little concerned.
I'm still pain free over 2 hours after the BM and haven't had to apply the Nitro as yet. It's due in the next 15-30 mins.

CrackinUp littler step my friend littler steps, :D you are healing believe it or not you are healing, slowly but surely, just keep the area lubricated before a BM with Vaseline and that will ease the scratching after BM, remember stools are very irritating.
The longer you are without pain is a good sign, if you see blood again on the paper or toilet then that means you have torn the fissure again.
The last time I saw blood in the toilet and had a major set back was 2 months ago.
Soo you doing great, perhaps you will beat this after all.
