Re: New pain today

Thanks marg :)
I have had no pain and an ever so slight irritation around 2pm, but it's definitely not painful.
I am off to the doctors later today to pick-up some more Nitro as I've nearly used a whole tube already. I've had 4 weeks on Nitro since Wednesday, and it's 4 weeks tomorrow since the tear. This was the last time I saw any blood and there wasn't much even then!!
So you think the sharp sensation may just have been the BM irritating the fissure rather than re-tearing it? If so that's good news for me :)

CrackinUP, by experience I know that when I see blood is when I get worry, because that means is a major re tear, yes you may irritate the healing area with hard BMs but irritation is not the same as having the fissure reopen.
It is healing, you can feel it, but is still there, you are doing great for only 4 weeks of treatment, in my case I was in pain and agony for 6 months before feeling the improvement, my doctor back in Nov, after my appointmentnt and deep inspection of the fissurre re tore the darn thing, then the appt and inspection this month while uncomfortable was not painful, so I know I am healing.
So I think you are doing fantastic, if you have appointment and the doctor manipulate the area you may get sore and painful again, it happens, but it gets better.

Keep going Crackin, you are doing really well. You have used a lot of the Nitro. I only went through a tube in the 8 wks. I used the 2.5 cm dose. Have you used more in-between?

Marg, did you use the nitro? How did you manage to get such a good improvement? After 3 months the AF becomes chronic.

I think Rachae 1984 that my fissure is been chronic for years, on and off, no as bad always treating the pain and inflammation as a hem, finally I found out that it was not hems and never was.
Now, the nitro I used it for 4 months, it gave me relieve from the spams steadily after the first month but the tear and re tear was driving me crazy, I knew because the blood in the toilet paper, I had it all, everything people have posted the horrendous pain, sleepless night and on and on.
I coped with it with exercises, pain killers and EFT (tapping), the cream did work to help with healing but after 4 month I develope the itching, rash and even got blistered, then all the sitz bath gave me a yeast infection.
So after 4 months I guess by then it was good enough the Vaseline, vitamin E suppositories were enough.
After my re tear the fissure in Nov, I put some neosporin on it that help temporarily, things just started to ease off, spams go away, then the pain ease off, BMs are not painful anymore, the irritation lasted a bit longer and until this day I still get a littler bit irritated if I don't keep the area lubricated.
My fissure is not gone Rachael is bereable and more manageable.
I got appt in july again, if I am still with minor irritation I will ask the doctor to have it inspected more deep and see what is truly happening inside as the outside is looking good and is not as ugly as used to be, even the skin tag is no swollen or red anymore.

I still have 1/4 of the tube left but I panicked and wanted more. Hehe.
I've not used much more than the stated dose, but I've made sure I had the full length each time. I actually have to do two applications as I can't get that much into my buttox in one go!
On around 3-4 occasions I have used a bit extra. Also I think I was pretty useless at applying it at first, but after 4 weeks I have it down to a fine art. I have to make sure the blinds are closed in case the window cleaner comes and receives the shock of his life!! Image

Brilliant! Hilarious. That would be a sight.
Are you eating any meat? I am only on chicken and fish now. Why don't the CRS mention diet? It is hard, as I think everyone is different.

Wh wh wh when I'm cleaning windows... YIIIKES run or your lives, that dude's sick what's he doing. Image
I'm eating small amounts of chicken once, maybe twice a week. A fillet steak followed by a Nandos butterfly chicken breast did the damage to me originally, so I'm a little weary of meat I'm afraid... especially large portions. I'm definitely cutting steak out for a while!
You can't go wrong with fish... lots of goodness and easy to digest, result in nice soft BM. Oh JOY! :)
