I just had a bm and zero pain and zero pain after bm. Poop was nice and soft, but following the the poop dripped out a small puddle of fresh blood(about a teaspoon).im guessing it was from my crs prying around down there today.i thought I was healing because I was having minimal pain and haven't bled in a month! I. Going to try to see that other crs and beg him for lis even though his nurse said he usually does cream then Botox then lis. Such a set back!now I feel like its just starting all over again Image

Zero pain is not a setback. It can indicate that your sphincter is not as tight..thus more blood flow to the area so you have a little blood. I think if we keep a diary we can look back at the improvements we have made. It takes time and consistency. Worry restricts healing.xxx

Had a nice bm this morning! No blood! Zero pain during and zero pain afterwards.best bm ever! I was expecting at least a little pain or blood since I had a little blood last night after bm.i guess pia was right about a little blood not being a big deal. Hopefully it's trying to heal up in there!

Delasama a littler bit of retear is going to happen during healing, now while the spams will go away eventually the irritation will linger a littler bit longer after BMs, but you can fix that with a lubrication.
Hey the last time I saw a bit of pink no even red was two weeks ago, in two months of feeling good, but I still get mild irritation on an off.
That tells me that the fissure while is getting better is not gone by any means.
Plus you can tell the anal muscle is getting lose too, as the spams ease off.

That's awesome marg6043!have u had surgery or used creams? I'm scared to put line or any thing down there. Afraid I will hurt fissure or lube will interrupt its natural healing process...

Delasama I have been dealing with my fissure without surgery, yes is available if I want too but for now my doctor is just monitoring my improvement.
My next app is in June, if I don't see a major change in healing I will do the LIS, as obviously while I can deal with the fissure as it is, is not way that is going to heal on its own.
Still is only one fissure because the only area that is tender and irritated is where the fissure was originaly diagnosed so I am dealing with the same fissure and not a new one.
Some people have more than one that heals and a new one opens up.
I am dealing with only one, thankfully.

I decided I'm going to visit my family in Maine for a few weeks then when I get back I will see how I feel. If I feel worse then I will call other crs for a second opinion and maybe some nifedipine.gonna ride the miralax train for a month.

My fissure was properly diagnosed 8 months ago, when I went to the doctor for hems and found out after a colonoscopy that it was a fissure.
Been dealing with it since then, used the nitro for 4 months until I got a nasty rash and itching with it, been on alternative treatment, my fissure got worst as the result of chronic diarrhea, but now that I know it wasn't hems, I remember been suffering for years on and off and been treating the problem as hems.
It took 6 months for the fissure to start healing but is very slowly and is still there, very tender in the area including the sentinel pile, not spams, not pain just minor irritation here and there.
