I agree with Suzy on this. There is no shortage of pharmaceuticals out there that people are willing to take for the rest of their lives if need be with far higher toxicity profiles than Miralax has. If our doctor prescribes us something for our high blood pressure after we've already tried diet, exercise, stress reduction, etc., are we going to refuse it based on the extensive list of potential adverse reactions (which for most medicines is a pretty long list)? We could refuse of course, and take our chances on a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, etc. But if there is something available that helps to ease our own suffering and to the best of our available knowledge the benefits outweigh the risks, I would rather use the tool in the toolbox that is available and useful. Of course we'd all like our bodies to function naturally and without any trouble or pain right up until the last day of our lives, but in reality bodies get sick, develop diseases, injuries, etc., and sometimes they get better and sometimes they don't, but either way, I'm just grateful to have some things I can turn to that help.
