Re: Amount of Bleeding....

I know this is a really old thread and I'm sorry for posting again but haven't been here in a while. Just wanted to mention, I also get really scared of bleeding, especially when I've had a strangely painful BM (which I don't have too frequently anymore) and then I see a lot of blood, b/c I'm guessing that means a re-tear. I pretty much always see a bit of blood though even if the BM wasn't very painful, I heard that's just a part of the fissure. I'm not even sure when or if this fissure will heal anymore, I'm just trying to live my life and find hope in other things :) but I think the blood is a normal sign of the fissure being there. My fissure(s) are more likely to show blood if I've been irritating the area like using harsh toilet paper or if my stupid skin tag Image has been itchy or irritating while I clean myself. I don't know if blood is always a bad thing - probably only sometimes

Sorry you're bleeding again. I know just how you feel when you see blood. I do about every 2-3 weeks and it can take a good couple of weeks to stop. Just knowing every morning it's probably going to be on the TP is no fun. And I get myself worked up to the point of getting a sick stomach. I'll be glad when someone can explain what's causing it for me.
I have my colonoscopy Monday afternoon, so I'll be on and off the board after that for a day or so. Depends on how quickly I bounce back. I'm anemic right now, so not sure how tired I'll be after all the stupid prep and anesthesia. But, I'll check in to see how you're doing after yours. Please keep us updated.
This is definitely the place to talk about feeling scared about the bleeding. There are a bunch of people here who understand exactly what you're going through.
