My fissure has healed, yes is healed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby marg6043 » 10 Jun 2013, 14:49

I am beyond words, I thank this board for helping me, cope, with information and advise to overcome the long road to healing, naturally. People here are so fantastic, I even cry with some of the post, the suffering the pain the discomfort. . .
Today was my 3 month follow up after my last visit, with my wonderful CRS, because my fissure has not bother me for while beside some very mild discomfort, I had my first internal check before today I could not even think about having anything inside that area. Image
But today I was fine, the doctor said that my sphincter is relax and that the walls were smooth, the fissure was healed and the only thing left was the scar tissue but it was smooth also.
But because is new tissue I will still feel mild irritation but not to worry.
No discomfort and nothing was used to numb the area to do the check. :D
I am delighted, I was discharge with no more appointments only if the fissue was back.
That if it happens I will chose surgery I will not in any way again to suffer in agony for as long as I did to have the fissure heal on it's own.
My only advise from the doctor was to avoid constipation
Thank you, thank you to all for the help. Image Image

Congrats, marg! I am so happy for you! Image Yay!!
Hoping and praying I can say the same someday soon. Your story gives me and others great hope that are going the natural healing route and don't want/can't afford surgery. Thank you so much for all the support you give on here.
Again, congratulations! :D
January 2013 - Diagnosed with fissure. Eventually turned chronic.
History of IBS and anxiety disorder, along with fear of using bathrooms other than my own caused it.
Tried Diltiazem, but eventually developed a rash.
LIS surgery scheduled August 26th.

Luka thank you, it is you and the wonderful members here that makes thing better for us, we know how to comfort each other.
I am so happy, when you suffer with a fissure for so long is like a waiting game, but then it comes that day that you get to hear the words "your fissure is healed", I am still digesting the news. :D
It is ways to heal, you can heal naturally without surgery but is a long, long road and the set backs are very painful.
The doctor told me, that fissures take long to heal, even with surgery is still a long road.
But it can happen. Image

Yea!!!! That is great news. And you have been so patient and faithful with your regimen. I just will add that I seem to be healing as well, after three to four months most recent 'go-round' and six months since the first big tear. It has taken a really long time! I hope you will visit the forum from time to time to share your wisdom!!!! But, mostly, hope you enjoy your return to the rest of life!!! Wishing you only painfree days ahead!! Image
