LIS yikes!!!! & I'M HEALED yippee

Postby Deleted User 2543 » 11 Jun 2013, 10:47

Hi all tomorrow is the day LIS & tag removal. Really nervous today not of procedure itself but of that first dreaded BM. I've got lots of advice & tips from this forum so here's hoping I can follow them & thank you all 😊
I'm dreading trip home from hospital too 2hrs sitting on my sore bum, hopefully I'll have plenty of local to numb it up.
See you on the healing side  Image

Good luck for tomorrow Edel....I hope it all goes well and the journey home is as smooth as can be... I've just been out in the car putting the seat as far back as it goes to test it... There's no way I will be sitting for that journey!!!
Just remember, as long as you take your softeners and drink plenty of water your first bm shouldn't be horrendous.

Good luck Edel, I'm sure you're going to do just fine. I reclined my seat on the drive home but thankful it wasn't that far. You should still be pretty numbed up. Just let them know how long a drive you have so they can give you something for the ride home. All the best Suzy.

Truly hoping everything goes well for you tomorrow and in your recovery too.
Just like OMB, see if you can kind of lie on your side in the back with a duvet and some soft pillows to make you comfy. I had a 4 hr drive a week after a Fistulomy and I was fine with some painkillers and adopting the above method!.....
Look forward to reading your updates and wishing you all the very best! It can only be for the best xx
