I still haven't been able to really get a full BM, but I'm sure I'd be miserable too when I do. Especially with the stinging, which I'm sure would be inevitable :l
Update us about what your GP says, I really hope it's not an infection! :)

Infection is quite common... So best get it checked out.
I'm so glad to hear that otherwise you are doing well!

Hi day 13 😊,
Feeling so much better. Went to gp no infection thank god just normal discharge. Every time I poop I open incision site so will take a little more time to heal that. Although just had a BM & it didn't bleed today stung like hell but eased off a bit with sitz bath maybe it's on the mend. I wish these stitches would drop off they are driving me insane 😁. I don't really have pain it's all stinging & soreness the odd stabbing pain but no throbbing. I still take 2 movicol a day & will forever.
Hope everyone has a good day 😄

Great news! Glad you're feeling better. It's a long road with lots of bumps. Just stay positive and stick to your best routine.
If the stinging is your worst pain, then that's great, means the area is healing and healthy. Just a matter of time, patience and lots of effort to look after yourself in making the right decisions.
Movicol is so so good. It'll be a shame to eventually come off it eh?

Edel,
Everything's actually sounding really good for you right now and all pretty normal with your recovery.....
It won't be long before the stitches go too, so hang in there and stay positive! You WILL get through this!!

Hi, Edel. I know how maddening the stitches can be. I had lots. My CRS started removing them at week 4 or 5 because some of them were really irritating the area. They were dissolvable stitches but I think he could see that some of them were pulling. It hurt like heck to get them out but felt much better later. He told me they could take months to dissolve. I'm 8 weeks out from my double flap surgery and he removed all my external ones, don't know if the internal ones are still there or not. The discharge can last a while too. I still get a tiny bit but not much. Keeping the area dry helps with the stinging and burning. I use gauze pads. I find even the tiniest bit of discharge can make the area burn like mad. If you really start burning rinse the area off good, then gently blow it dry with a hair dryer. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Glad you're doing so well. Suzy

Thanks all 😊,
Suzy I can't believe it takes that long for dissolvable stitches to disappear ill surely go mad my check up is not till 2nd aug. Thank you for the advice. Glad to see you are doing well too. I was thinking about you having to do dilation so soon after surgery I don't know how you managed with all that work done. I couldn't bare anyone to touch me now with stitches going from outside to inside from tag removal.
Day 14 😞
Feeling sad big BM hurt like hell shed some tears & bleeding again. Was very painful all day & even now very tender. Hurts to pass wind too. Tonight is first time since that first BM 11days ago that I'm terrified of going tomorrow.
Pg it won't be too bad!!

Oh no..... So sorry to hear you have had a bad bm ... Do you know what has triggered it?
Fingers crossed your next one is kind to you.... And that you are only having a minor blip.
