Hello Stratocaster! I was only thinking about you the other day, glad you have been referred to a CRS. That is a pain having to wait all that time, but at least you will be able to take the next step on the road to healing. Keep us posted. Xx

Hey Strato. How are things with you?
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.

- New fissure 24. December 2023

Things are going alright here :).
I can't say until diagnosed by the right doctor but I'm pretty sure my fissure is gone I just have a lot of scar tissue. Mostly the same symptoms. Dry/big BMs cause a bit of pain that lasts for 3-5 days.
Thing that sucks is it's a 6 month wait but 2 months of that is down so getting close to half way. Not the end of the world anyway. Atleast I know something as I've been waiting for a couple months while not hearing anything.

It's part of the reason Canadian healthcare sucks. I can't do much besides wait and it's not like I can call up various CRS' as here its only referral. Grateful I don't pay for anything though!
My goal at this point is just so stay comfy until then. Using softeners with success. No pain no blood. Using Prep H to keep any inflamation down. I've researched and it seems to be able to reduce scar tissue so perhaps I can clear that up by myself and not need the doc.
