Just wondering if anyone else has identified the cause of their anal fissure and if they have additional issues such as pelvic organ prolapse?
I had my fissure surgery 4 months ago and though the fissure healed well I had to take movicol 1-2 sachets a day as I had a rectocele as well. Any attempt to stop the movicol resulted in incompleted evacuation as the rectocele fills up instead. Then the stool gets too big and you get the " laying an egg feeling" and end up using glycerine suppositories. Since my lap ventral retropexy rectocele has gone so now more able to pass BM though think I cut down on the movicol a bit too quickly - so have upped the dose again - I guess i cannot be in too much of a hurry.
Just wondered if anyone else was aware of prolapse being part of their issues if not perhaps I can help with my experience.
