scheduled for LIS

i have been suffering on and off for almost 7 years with the same cut that refuses to heal. have tried all the creams and botox twice.... and the last 4 months have been terrible. it feels like that area is getting tighter, and even with perfect soft stool, the pain is so sharp and bad. i really hope and pray this surgery heals me for good.

I hope that the surgery does the trick for you. It really worked for me, after many years of suffering, and I really wish that I had done it sooner. When is your date with the surgeon?

thanks for your reply. so glad the forum is finally back up!

i had my surgery over a week ago. the incision seems fine. i sometimes get a random shooting pain and soreness but bearable and no pain during a bm.... the fissure still hurts though when i have a bm. not as bad as pre surgery but around 4/10 pain. also my sphincter still feels very tight.... i really hope things improve soon.

That's fantastic news! It's over with and behind you (ptp). I don't think that you have anything to worry about at this point though, because you're still in the very early days. Hopefully, you'll be able to report back with news of more progress soon.

And yes, thank goodness that the forum is back up and running!
