Surgery scheduled

Postby LIGRLinFL » 21 Apr 2023, 13:41

Hi! New here and have scheduled LIS soon after many months of pain. The issue I have is that it is scheduled for 17 days before I leave for a cruise, involving an 8 hour non-stop flight, hot tubs and hot springs in Iceland. I'm considering rescheduling for after vacation but afraid that I'll be so uncomfortable that it will be a waste of money. Any thoughts?

I have traveled internationally with my original fissure. It was a terrible experience that I would not recommend. I suggest you push the vacation out for when you are fully recovered.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Thank you for the information. I’m going to call the surgeon this week with questions. I can’t push the vacation as it’s fully paid for, so I may push the surgery back.
