That sounds like you're doing pretty well.
That's awesome!
How much water would you say you're drinking in a day?

oh gosh....I drink at least 3 big glasses but its not always water, lots of the time it is juice. In terms of liquids, they usually recommend more. I think it really varies by the person. I finally figured out through my whole ordeal that my "magic fiber number" is 25, but other folks on here need 30. I think it is the same thing with water. You just have to find the right balance. I drink a lot of juice and take fibersure in it. That stuff is my life line. I eat a lot of whole grain bread, and my cereal in the morning always has at least 5 grams. I have finally found some fibersome foods that don't taste like sandpaper. Its so gooood.

Yeah, I've been eating ALOT of salads...so sick of them.
I have been enjoying oatmeal.
I see you're from Connecticut, I'm a huge UCONN huskies b-ball fan.
Better get some work done!
Have a great day and thanks.

No problem.
If your tired of salads, try turkey or regular tacos in a whole wheat tortilla. They also now have multi grain english muffins with 8 grams in each muffin. Spaghettios have 4 grams per serving. Whole wheat pasta isnt bad once you get used to it. I eat a sandwich for lunch every day, thats my secret. 10 grams in one sandwich. The bread is made by arnolds, it will say double fiber on it...it makes a pretty good PB+J or peanut butter toast. I should get some work done too.
Your welcome,
kate

Yeah, again, i guess it varies, some people say that dairy bothers them. Some people say meat bothers them, but i would try things out. It all varies. I can do dairy and meat!

I can say that I think mine is on its way to healing (knock on wood!) because yesterday I overdid it on the fiber and had 2 bouts of diarrhea and although it hurt and I could feel it hitting the fissure, there was only a slight amount of pink this time and no bright red blood. I have done this all through diet and the recommendations I have gotten on this board. I have only seen my primary care physician for this and she did not prescribe any creams like the nifedipine or diltiazem that most of you are on so I feel pretty good that I have done this through "natural" methods. I'm handling this 'setback" a little easier this time around. It's been almost 4 months so I think I'm in pretty good shape.

I'm with ya Danielle.
Thanks to this board, I think I'm on the right track.
Since I started taking generic brank colace on Monday, the last 2 days have been great.
Of course I'm still anticipating a set back so I don't get my hopes up too much. Also, I'm a little worried about stoping the colace as my doc recommended.
