No closed means that the surgeon doesn't see the incision point while open pulls the muscle into view. Hence the open LIS leaves a larger wound that requires stitches.

Sorry I'm still kind of confused so if he makes a big cut he will have to stitch an if he just makes a small cut no need for stitches or ?

Yes you're right. I'm no expert on this myself but this is what I've read.

I saw my CRS today at my postop visit. So far it's looking good, just by a visual exam (so fed up to show my bum!) he told me that it's about 50% healed already. Also he said that of course I need to make sure to not be constipated since I have 2 wounds to heal (btw, the only pain I feel is the one from the incision).

He also told me I had a major fissure and, surprise, to continue my nitro as a preventive measure (I thought I was done with the ointments!). I asked him if I could've healed only with the cream knowing I had an important fissure, and he told me it could have been the case, it heals about 80% of the patients.

He didn't precise how long my recovery will be, but told me all the weird feelings I have are due to the swelling, dissolvable stitches, and that it would be back to normal shortly.

P and h I keep getting cysts around that area I'm wondering why is it from using diltiazem or my immune system is down from taking 9 weeks worth of antibiotics? My doctors are useless just gave me some cream cream an couldn't tell me why it's also their fault I had to the antibiotics for so long because they kept giving me either the wrong one and they kept sending me home with oral antibiotics when i needed iv I ended up getting iv the antibiotics was for a strep mastitis infection while breast feeding if you have any advice that would be great thanks

Do you mean cysts around the perianal region? Do they go away on their own or do they require drainage by a doctor? I would strongly recommended seeing a dermatologist for this problem. How long have you been getting them?

They are around the anus the last one was on my skin tag the doctor gave me a cream which is anti thrush anti bacterial with a steroid in it to apply an the one on the skin tag went away with using the cream so now I'm using it again on this new cyst they only just started over the last 2 weeks I've had my fissure for 4 years I think it's either because of diltiazem or the thrush cream I was heavily using a few weeks back because of thrush my immune system must be had it from all the antibiotics I'm sick as a dog today have been for 3 days trying to restore my immune system and my good bacteria with pro biotics. It's a new problem

They are just like a very sore pimple

It's probably folliculitis but impossible to say for sure without seeing them. I would recommend you see your doctor for treatment. They might prescribe antibiotics for it.
