Oh thats sucks!!!!! I hope you get better soon.

I feel so lucky.... my fissure is gone and the wound pain is also gone. The only thing that i still feel is very mild burning at the tag site. Im 15 days postop.

I'm in the uk. I went to the toliet this morning and it was a little sore but better then yesterday so hope things are on the up! I'm going to stop poking at it and just let it do it's own thing! I'm just keeping an eye out!! Do u guys go to the toliet more then once a day! Cos I'm no movercol it makes me go two times a day!!!! Which is a pain! But I need to have it to make it soft! X

Yes, I was on stool softeners and fiber and it made me go at least twice a day. I stopped the softeners yesterday.

Did you expect the pain that you experienced after the surgery?

To be honest, I didnt !
I was in excruciating pain during and after BM for the first week ( minus the first day after with no BM)

But now I am so happy that I endured it and it is all behind me.

Pain is almost completely gone. The only thing is the tag site sometimes bleeds but thats if i excersise too much or if I am constipated.
Hows everyone else?
I will say this one more time: GET the surgery done. I have my life back and it was the best decision ever

I had MY surgery yesterday! Right now I am sooooooo happy! Woke up after surgery feeling better than I have in weeks. The fixed the fissure and also removed a tag. They gave me Bupivacaine Lipsome which is supposed to last 96 hours. (so we'll see on Monday if I am still happy) had a normal BM today with no pain. No bleeding, just a bit of pink on the wipe that I use to "dab" with. A little swollen and it feels a bit "weird" but NO PAIN. Can't believe it took months to get this done - wish I would have been more proactive in the beginning.

today is a bit rougher but manageable. Stool a bit loose today - but since my gall bladder surgery 8 yrs ago that is normal for me so a pepto and some more fiber for me! I'm tender but, still not the God awful spasms! Glad I did this, I know each day will be better!
