Just got back from the US with my 3x684g of Metamucil, Berry burst and Pink Lemonade which both taste great.
There is a marked difference between Fybogel and Metamucil, which you might be interested to know. I found that Metamucil is very, very fine in texture where-as Fybogel is much more coarse and tends to swell to a greater extent in a much more rapid fashion. I can usually feel the swolen fibre going down while I drink with Fybogel, but next to nothing with Metamucil - which is pleasant.
I know you can get coarsely refined Metamucil, but I wanted to be extravagant and try the neat new flavours. The Pink lemonade is so pleasant to take its unbelievable.
Anyways, I'm on my 5th week of no bleeding. Here's to the future!

My non-fissure girlfriend (part of the collective "norms" Image) had the odd glassfull of Pink-lemonade, just for the sake of the taste and nothing to do with regularity.
The thing with Fybogel is that because it is coarse milled, it swells up incredibly fast and the last part of the drink, at the bottom, is usually very thick. You have to drink it lightning fast to avoid the experience.
This metamucil "smooth texture" almost dissolves completely.
On the downside, the 18 hour total travelling time from London to upstate NY did constipate me. Avoid travelling!
I hope everyone else is having some successes with their fissures. My positive thoughts go out to each and every one of you folks.

the great news is that there is a Wagamama finally coming to Washington DC in 2009. i will be so waga-happy when it finally comes. now the suspense of where it will be built is exciting.....
i miss Paris and Istanbul and Barcelona and Geneva.
