I agree with Tabby, Butt Machine, take it easy and stay off the bike. You don't want to go backwards in your healing progress. Good luck!!

Hi everyone. Had my follow-up doctor's visit today, and he says I'm doing remarkably well. I'm cleared for my road trip, as long as I take wipes along and get up to walk around once in awhile.
Yesterday was the first day I didn't even take any ibuprofen. Things are going very well. I'll check in a few weeks from now and let y'all know how I'm doing.
Happy holidays to all!

Hi everyone. It's been about 3-1/2 weeks since the procedure now, and I managed the road trip (along with staying in a bunch of different beds and using a bunch of different bathrooms) just fine.
I believe I'm experiencing no discomfort from the fissurectomy or LIS at all anymore. The only thing I feel is a bit of irritation from the tag removal site after cleaning up. Sitting in the tub helps, and I've been using antibiotic + pain relief ointment for a couple of days as well. Not a big deal, just a little reminder that all is not completely well as of yet.
