Well, I've just had an infection in my fistulotomy wound, I've had two abcesses and two fistulas and they were all yellow infection, or off-white, much the same as yours really, that's why I thought you did have an infection. But your sister must know best if she's a doctor!
It wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on things, though, just in case.

That sucks val, I hope you get some relief soon, there's always going to be a high risk of infection due to where the wound is..... A$$e$.... Who'd have 'em??!!

Yeah, indeed, the risk for infection is very high.
So this is what I do.
My rule of thumb is keep it dry. (Germs loves water..)
After BM, I use baby wipe to tab on it and I give it a good wash with water. (Just let the water run through between my chicks)
Then I use cotton balls to remove moisture, then use hair drier to completely dry it. Then put fresh gauze there.
I keep change gauze every 2 or 3 hour. Whenever I change, I tab to clean it using baby wipe, then use cotton ball to dry it, then put a new gauze.
I only use gauze I bought from CVS, each packaged in a paper bag. That way what I put on my wounds are germ free...
I want to hear what others are doing to prevent infection...

I have exactly the same thing: same color, stickiness etc. From what 2 different doctors told me, it is normal and I shouldn't worry about it. My CRS told me it will be there "until the wound is healed". So there you go :)
Where it's coming from?...inside I guess Image

Yea today after the first bm after my fistula surgery, near the outside of the wound was some white stuff after I finished showering it and cleaning it well. I thought it was dead skin as I had a bit of trouble removing it with a q-tip. Then later on tonight after my second cleaning, I noticedbthis white stuff was there and jelly-like and I had a hard time removing it even after sitting and spreading my cheeks over the bidet for a good 5 minutes. I tried removing as much of it as I can with a q-tip, then dipped another couple q-tips in hydrogen peroxide and cleaned far inside the wound. The outside skin of the wound stung a bit but I'm not too worried about it for tonight. Tomorrow's another healing day and cleaning :)

You have some guts cleaning "inside the wound". I'm not even showering it with any amount of pressure, just taking it reeeallyy easy on the area. :)

LOL! I'm with you there, Dexter!
I'd faint if I had to poke around there with an open wound!
