Hi,
I'm new to this forum. Been to the doctor and told I had a internal fissure. Although the doctor couldn't feel anything when she examined.
I've never had one before and wanted to know what is 'normal' save me being paronoid.
I have very small amount of blood on the toilet paper every few days. When this occurs I have the sharp glass feeling. However for the rest of the day I have a soreness/ uncomfortable feeling and occationally iching. In addition when I shower it stings (which I struggle to understand why if its an internal one)
Any comments would be great. Thanks

My fissure couldn't be seen from the outside either. All your symptoms sound classic for a fissure.
Internal or external doesn't really matter as far as pain. It has to stretch when you have a bm and has all the symptoms/ spasms- no matter where it's located. There's no good location for a fissure,Lol. They suck!
