Diagnosis from GP...infection and pilonidal

Postby ajl1239 » 17 Dec 2012, 17:09

So, I went back to the GP today because it seemed like the blood was still fairly frequent even with the Rectiv and diet changes.
I learned two things:
1.) I have a pilonidal disease problem -- basically a 'sinus' beneath collar bone in the 'crack' area that can get filled with hair and cause problems.
2.) He described an infected/inflamed 'wart'/tag that was actually causing the bleeding.
I will see a CRS, finally, soon.
Given that I don't have HPV, I'm thinking that the 'wart' may be a gnarly looking skin tag? Can anyone here who has had skin tag removal surgery explain a bit about what it is and how long it takes? Outpatient? Incontinence risks?
Many thanks!
