A Fissure Returns???

Postby buttgirl » 29 Aug 2007, 09:26

So...had a bummer yesterday. The pain came back to the injection site next to my fissure. I checked it out and it appears to be a little bloody and I think it might be a little fissure. I'm not sure if it is from all the irritation there (hemmie shot and all) or if I did something. This is so annoying and discouraging after finally getting rid of the last one. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever had a normal butt again.

I plan to make an appt with the CRS in a week or two if there's no improvement, but until then I suppose it's back to the old routine. Stool softeners and nitro . . . heating pad and stizbath.

I am sorry BG. I have another fissure too so I can relate. I am back on the bath and diltiazem cream and advil. When I went to see the CRS yesterday I told her I was getting so sick of my butt!
I bet yours will heal faster since you have been botoxed and maybe with the nitro you will get even speedier results since your bottom will be ideally set for healing.
I bet in a few days this will all be behind you. I know that a lot of folks here get bleeding from time to time and it doesn't mean that healing isn't occuring. You may just have a superficial tear or something. Did you feel something tear when you went to the bathroom?

Hard to say if I felt a tear. That area had been tender since the injection. The pain went away last week, for the most part anyway. Now it is back, only it feels more raw, like a fissure. I think it was a result of the irritation in the area.:(

Sorry to hear that you have another one too. I wonder what's going on with our butts?

It seems I can't poop normally for long (more than a week) without getting some problem....I'm feeling really sorry for myself today.

Don't give up! This is only a small bump in the road. When I am having poop issues and need to be especially careful of how things are going I add a bit of miralax or milk of magnesia. That really seems to keep things from getting worse. I may still bleed but at least there is nothing chunky cutting into it. Also supplementing with magesium seems to help keep my bum relaxed so I can go easier too.
I was searching the forum creator that hosts our forum just to see what other forums there are and there is a forum to go and talk about your poop. Of course I HAD to go and open it and there was a picture of poop and a sicko description of the forum. I did laugh at least.
You will get better. Maybe even tomorrow you will be surprisesd at how much better you feel. Are you in a lot of pain?

I hate it for both you girls. You both are having these setbacks. Makes me downcast.
But you both know how to tend to things, so I feel sure you'll both be back up to speed in no time.
Macrobiotics, anyone?

Thanks Kim.

Not really a lot of pain. I'm a little uncomfortable (no spams thanks to nitro and botox). I feel like I have a popped blister just inside my rear--it is raw but doesn't really hurt until it's jabbed.

I'm more discouraged because I saw what was causing me trouble yesterday and it looked like a fissure. I really just want to go to bed instead of working all day today. Actually, I really just want to go to bed and not wake up until I'm healed.

I'm going to look up the poo forum--i need a laugh today.

That is how I feel, Chris! I had a hemmie that drained itself and left behind a tear. I wonder if that is what you have?
I hope work goes okay and you can get your mind off of it. There are days I think I would like to change my identity and see if my butt problems can't find me anymore.
If this forum ever goes bust-everyone meet at the poo forum!

buttgirl, could it maybe be an abscess? a fistula?
time for both of you to have a lot of homemade miso soup, tofu and veggies, and umeboshi plums and brown rice for breakfast.
(shakespeare's sister half was from bananarama! hehehehehe...i love bananarama and shakespeare's sister!)

happy ass, I hope not. The last one was a bear! But it feels somewhat better this morning--I returned to AF prootcols and soaked, took MOM, etc...

That sounds like a wonderful breakfast. What does macrobiotics say about Kazu-miso Tuna?

Lecia, I think that might be what I have. There was definitely a hemmie there (as opposed to an abscess). I just didn't think hemmies were supposed to do that. But at least it's small and in a place that can touch the water when I am in the sitzbath. I seem to have better luck healing that area that further up.

Christie-I didn't think they could do that either! So I was surprised when the CRS told me that they could and that is what mine had done.
I am glad you feel somewhat better. I am doing okay-still taking a lot of advil. Yesterday I took some leftover celebrex and that really helped with the pain and I am sure it helps with the inflammation.
I have what Gareth so lovingly refers to as a b!tchy skin tag left over that hurts but it seems to be softening with the baths and aloe vera. But I am still bleeding after going to the bathroom.
How many classes are you teaching?
