Hi OMB. I did wonder if it may be the start of a prolapse so did alot of reading online but what was described about a prolapse doesn't seem to match what's wrong with me...of course I could be wrong but I do hope it isn't that. I have been to referred to 2 different hospitals after much persuasion, do you know if my Dr would refer me somewhere out of my county, unfortunately there is no other hospitals where I live.
Thanks Rachael, I didn't realise that, luckily I haven't been taking it since my problem worsened. xx

I'm not sure if you can get referred out ofyourcounty, but I will find out tomorrow, as I would like a second opinion, and I have already used the 2 hospitals in my area.
I also, have switched to movicol. It's really made a difference to pain level post poop!

Yes it lasts all day.
Since I have been using movicol, the pain level has dropped, but I am still aware of my fissure all the time. It no longer hurts to have a bm either.

K1988 sorry to hear you are having such a hard time dealing with doctors and suffering from the fissure.
We all been in pain and know how hard is to live everyday with this condition, it can happen to anybody at any time.
Like the other members already said you need to keep looking for a doctor that will help you heal with proper treatment and if needed surgery.
Do not stop with what is there already keep looking.
Is a lot of information here in the meantime for you to read and find something that will help you make your fissure better.
lost of lubrication before a BM is a plus, and because you can see the fissure you know where to add that lubrication, either vaseline before a MB to minimize the burning, Desitin after the BM to keep the area protected.
Make sure you take fiber if constipation is a problem, is light at the end of the tunnel, just keep pushing for a better treatment and a better doctor. Image
