Hope so Apes. I wish he had just put a bit more in to make sure. I'm not a big fan of their "the good news is if it doesn't work we can always give another round of Botox" attitude.

Really good news is that I didn't get constipated from the general. I had my first poop yesterday afternoon. No pain on going, but had soreness afterwards (they told me not to get injection site wet for 24hrs so couldn't have bath). Took 2 paracetol & crashed on sofa watching cheesy films.

Pain was about 3 out of 10, settling back to 2 out of 10.

This morning I had my usual poop first thing which was a little odd feeling as I couldn't quite tell if I had finished, so had to jump back out of bath to do a bit more. Again, not painful when going but felt a bit like I had stick up my butt for a while after. Lying on sofa now with pain at 1 out of 10.

Feels like a bit of throbbing going on so maybe I should use the GTN cream again

I have been taking my usual Laxido and sticking to my low fibre/low residue diet.

Day 3 post Botox

Went to loo this morning with no pain. Took a while to come out as it was lots of thin bits. Made the mistake of thinking I was finished and jumping in bath a bit too soon. Then had a bit of wind that was not wind lol. So back on the loo followed by a shower :)

Have no real pain to speak of as long as I don't sit down. Lying down is fine, walking feels a bit odd - like my butt is being pulled by gravity. Spent the morning on sofa watching films and dozing. Have to pop out for hour now so will see how that goes.

Day 4 post Botox yesterday and I had a pretty good day. Unfortunately this was followed by a load of spasming when I was in bed. Had to use GTN cream to sort it out. Still very little pain though and no pain when I went to loo.

Day 5 today and good job I have a sense of humour as I went out for a bit with mum and pooped myself!! My mum and I were joking about me needing tena lady pants before her :) Think I need to cut back a bit on the stool softeners as I do keep my poop on the slightly runny side and I had a bit of wind this afternoon and hey ho, there it was!

Still pretty sore to sit down and driving was uncomfortable.

Day 6 post Botox

No pain on going to toilet but lots of urgency to get to bathroom once I woke up.

Reducing amount of stool softener today to see if that helps things. Don't particularly want a runny accident whilst out again!
Had a bit of spasming again last night so just using the GTN cream 3 times a day again now and hoping that settles it :)

Still sore to sit down or to drive. General pain level about 1 out of 10, haven't bothered with paracetamol today.

Day 7 update

Quite urgent bm first thing - just made it to loo! Wearing panty liners as I do have the occasional bit of wind that is not wind!

Was good all day but had to go to hospital for PET scan with radioactive tracer in connection with breast cancer. All fine but in night had awful tummy pain with Vomiting and diarreah. Pooped 6 times in 5 hours which was somewhat unpleasant.
Don't know what caused it. My diet doesn't contain anything that would give food poisoning and it was all over in about 7 hours.

Day 8
No bm today (not a shock after last night!)
Still sore to sit down but no real pain otherwise. I can still feel the fissure down there though.

Day 9
Small bm this morning with no pain. Again, sore to sit. Feeling of gravity pulling down on my bum has gone.
Seem to be developing painless lump, guess this is the external hemmy lots of people get after Botox

Nothing changed much over last week so not done daily diary.

Still not noticed any sign of healing and get spasm if I don't use the GTN cream. I don't think surgeon used enough Botox personally.

And just to top things off my recent PET scan showed my cancer has spread to my trachea and the lymph nodes in my neck, so I am back on the chemotherapy train which is what caused my fissure in the first place. Still smiling though as being positive can get you through most of life's challenges :)
