Huh - I wrote the reply below. Then I saw your other post with a link to a more recent paper from Singapore.
I'll have a look at it tonight. My CRS had never heard of gonyautoxin. I imagine it will take a while before it will be approved in the USA (if ever). It's worth keeping an eye on though. Funny - I had given up on gonyautoxin, so it's encouraging to see people still working on it.
Hi Nicholas -
No, I'm afraid not. You've probably come across two studies of gonyautoxin that were done in South America (can't recall which country) a few years ago. I've searched for more updated studies, and found nothing. The project seems to have been dropped. Either funding for the project dried up, or the success rate turned out to be not as good as stated, or unacceptable side-effects emerged - who knows!
Anyway, sadly, this treatment has not worked out, for whatever reason.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
