So after a bout of some sort of weird gastro issue --whereby i basically was confined to a liquid diet...for some bizarre reason this cause a harder movement...and yup, the old scratching feeling at the morning constitutional this morn and some blood on the tp.

Thankfully no pain...just some increased weird feelings down there.

Again -- this is all a mystery to me.

I decided to make a follow up appt. with my CRS to have a look see....apparently i was "healed" so i am at a loss as to why i still get blood on a slightly harder movement than normal (not large, just harder). I called today and have an appt. for the end of June...only 2.5 months to wait. My first appt. took 8 months so this one is lightning fast (lol).

Hope you are all well - CB.

CB, like felix said, I wonder if it could be a minor hemorrhoid issue? Especially because you are not experiencing any pain and also because the CRS said you were "healed". I always thought that the tiny specks of blood I'd get was due to my fissure. However, it wasn't constant and would happen very randomly regardless of what I was eating and regardless of what pain levels I had. Even when I didn't have any pain at all, it would happen. During my colonoscopy, I found out I had one tiny internal hemorrhoid, which was caused by my fissure and it turned out that was the cause of random, painless bleeding. If it's not causing you pain, I'm pretty sure it's not a big deal. It just acts up sometimes randomly. But I know it can be still be scary.

Wow, I can't believe you have to wait 2.5 months to see your CRS!!!! Is that considered a normal wait time for Canadians? I hope all goes well and you get the reassurance that it's nothing major to worry about. I'm just happy you are not in pain!!

Sending you good vibes and thinking of you!

Thanks for the feedback. The reason I don't think it is a hemmie is because I feel a slight scraping feeling when I go...and that sensation always means some blood on the tp. Then, I have increased discomfort for a few days...feels irritated. Does that sound like a hemmie to you? I never get blood without the scraping feeling.

Unfortunately waiting times in Canada can be really long. Health care here is theoretically free -- and the government can't really afford to employ enough specialists to lessen wait times...so we get it for free but wait and wait. 2.5 months for a top CRS is very good...I know of one guy in town who has a 2.5 to 3year waiting list...imagine that!

Thanks again for the feedback - it is always very appreciated.

Just popped on to say hi canadabum

I would try not to worry about the blood. No pain, no tear. It's probably a very small internal hemmy..... Or just one of those anomalies that can never be explained.

Hope all is back on track

The Medicare system is similar here too. Other than waiting times, I also feel there is a hit and miss with regards to quality of doctor, nurse/ profession that's akin to buying electronics from China on eBay. No offense intended - just a metaphor to quality control if you know what I mean? To be fair, the students have to learn on real people at some stage I guess. Having said that, I've gotten lucky at times and received better care from students than long time professionals. Helps to stay positive.

Hope you guys are as well as can be, or perhaps even better. ;)

Hey y'all -- just wanted to drop in and report that since my setback in April I have been mostly pain free and even awareness free...and I have had no blood.

Also -- a week or so ago i reduced my Miralax dose to a 1/4 teaspoon 2x a day (from 3/8 teaspoon 2x/day). I still take a fibre supplement in the morning and evening...

I am feeling quite good and am soooo thankful right now....i know it is a gift and just hope that it lasts for some time.

I hope you are well too - CB.

Hi Canadabum
First of all congrats you finally feel better, happy for you.
after a month of strict diet, I have been a month without pain and retorn, but I have this same rough scraping/scratching feeling with no pain/blood when i have BM, I had exact same feeling you mentioned above, I can still feel the fissure site From time to time i do feel or sense something down there especially when i having BM, I know i am still healing, my question is are you fully healed now? do you still have the awareness when you have BM? Thanks

Thanks Randy...wish I could say I was 100%...after the no awareness no scratchy feeling month of May...my June saw the awareness and some scratch appear and I actually had a tiny amount of blood at the end of June.

I am actually seeing my CRS tomorrow for a follow up appointment and will ask these questions and report back.

In general I am good but for some reason I have periods of time where my underside feels agitated and not great and going to the loo is a bit of a nail biter...though 99.7% of the time no issue.

Like you I wish I could be the same as I was before this all started (not to scar you buy this all began for me back in October of 2014...so almost 2 years now). I have been feeling 90-98% better for some time now...its the elusive 2-10% that I am still waiting/hoping for.

Best to all - CB
