Thank you so much for your post. I am 8 weeks out from surgery and still have a small amount of pain, bleeding, itching, and some diacharge. I had two fissures which healed rather quickly after surgery but the incision site is what's causing me the problem now. My doctor says its healing but will take a while to completely heal. I didn't have a lot of muscle spasms before surgery so I was lucky there. Do you recall how much bleeding you had at about the 2-month mark? That's my biggest concern. Sometimes, after a BM, there's none and other times there's a couple of drops in the toilet and spots on the TP. It always stops after the BM.

Hello Toby. I'm six and a half weeks on from my surgery and although I still have pain I haven't had any bleeding for a while now. If you're having discharge too I think maybe you should go back to your doctor as it could be an infection.
Hope you see an improvement soon. BB x

I'm 9 weeks out and still having some slight discharge and pain from surgery area at times. Haven't had blood in 6 weeks though. Dr did say I could see blood for up to 2 months.i am still experiencing itchiness.

I'm sorry Skiponzo. It's so frustrating dealing with this every day.

I see my Dr every week or so and he keeps telling me I'm healing. Says all that I'm seeing is normal. I'm having a hard time accepting that I guess. I'm trying to get an appt with another Dr to see what she says. It sounds like recovery from LIS is a long process.

Thx Toby. I'm sure I'll survive. I've come to accept the fact that it's a very long process but its just frustrating and disappointing at times.

Hi Toby and Skiponz

Yes slow but unsure - that seems to be the way! So sorry to hear you've had another blip Skip; have to say I was sure I'd have blood this morning after daring to say that I hadn't had any! But somehow I dodged that bullet for today.

Hope things improve for both of you soon. BB x
