Thank you happy for your response. I was going to do a bowel prep, but I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm doing liquids today and tomorrow and then Tuesday they said I could eat up until 6 hours before surgery. I will atleast have some jello or soup or something, just because I don't want to have a completely empty stomach going into anesthesia....trying to minimize puking.
I picked up some fleet enemas today, just did one a minute ago, didn't hurt at all, thank goodness...my fissure is healing, not completely healed, but about 80% there....I will do one tomorrow and can i do one on tuesday morning or no?
I'm really scared actually, terrified of the healing process, but if I survived a hemorrhoidectomy, than I guess this can't be any worse than that. This forum has helped so much, and I will be sure to post everything when I feel up to it.
I'm going to be asking for GA, a MAC just is not a chance I want to take, I don't know why.....so afraid I'm going to wake up, since that's happened before. Opting for the big daddy of GA, will ask for anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea and a local anesthetic for the ride home and to keep me comfortable for a few hours after surgery.
I will report back sometime next week.
Thanks again everybody.

Hilarious StevePain of your emoticon over there, "My ass burns"... I love it.
Oh and happy, I live in US. I couldn't find the aloe fleet enemas, but I'm sure these other one's will work just fine! :) I've stocked up on soup, creamed soup, veggies and fresh fruits like pears, grapes, kiwi and apples. I have miralax and colace, so I'm ready for WAR baby! :)

I am new to all this - except the darn pain - but I do wish you the very best, and a speedy pain free recovery.

Oh ya. I'm a Gemini too. May 31st is my birthday! And about the bowel prep, I was told nothing to eat or drink after midnight except for clear fluids up to 3 hours before and that's it, no enemas or anything. I bought 2 anyways, and was going to do one the night before and one the morning of, but the day before I had 2 BM's and figured that was enough for one day, but I did do the one in the morning. I am kind of a "nervous pooer" so whenever I get nervous I have to go to the bathroom. I didn't want to be waiting in the waiting room in my lovely blue outfit and have to keep running to the bathroom. I wanted to be cleaned out, and hopefully delay my 1st BM for a bit too (that didn't work, I had my 1st the day after surgery), but it did help with the nervous pooing. I didn't have to go at all after I was done with the enema. Well worth it for me.
