Ok. Miralax is working, perhaps a little too well- I had to run to the bathroom this morning and didnt really make it. Paingoes up and down. today it's up again. I still don't sit upright at all, and have only spent perhaps an hour or two a day laying on my back. I'm extremely bored and would like to get healed enough to be able to drive myself to a coffee shop or something just to pass the time. Otherwise, I'm just lying around on my side or belly very bored all day.

Yes, getting out does help a lot. Sorry you pain is up at the moment. Good that there have been no major set backs though. Hoping you continue to heal and this will all be over for you soon!

Yes... It does get very very boring doesn't it!!
Maybe you should use the time to learn all about the stock market.... You could make a killing from that!!

Years ago, when I was pregnant with my youngest, I had severe morning sickness. I was sofa-ridden then for months( when I wasn't hospitalised!!) I watched loads of antique program's .... And in the end I knew loads about antiques!!! Can't stand anything to do with it all now though..... Reminds me too much of feeling so sick! Lol

I'm sure all this laying around will be worth it in the end!! Hang on in there!

Yea. I am approaching 3 weeks past surgery as of tomorrow. My follow-up will be around 4 weeks post-op, so I'd like to make it that long before I start sitting on it again if possible. Perhaps then I'll sit up long enough to have a meal in a chair or drive to a coffee shop or supermarket.

Hi, when I had my double flaps done, I was able to sit tentatively but I used a recliner so it took the pressure off. I didn't drive for almost 3 months because you're not supposed to slide your butt while it's healing and to backup in a car you kind of have to slide your butt to do that. Be patient, it will be worth it in the end. Suzy

Wow that is a long time. I think that since your donor sites were left open, you had a large exterior area that needed to heal. My donor sites were stitched, although they did dehisce a little bit I am told. Recliners are actually worse for me because they make my butt the lowest point of my body, and I can feel my blood pool there and the pressure therefore increase. I'll stick to my belly and side for now but I certainly look forward to sitting normally again one day.
