Ah, man! I know that feeling. To be so grateful that at last the pain is subsiding and then all your hopes are dashed against the wall. Could it be possible that you just overdid it since you were feeing so good? Does the pain hurt like it did before the hemorrhoid ruptured? How does it feel today? I bet after a good night's sleep it will have reduced. I think there is definitely a blood source that keeps filling this tag up and the tag needs to go or the blood source. Sometimes they can band and inside vein or inject a sclerosing agent or do infrared coagulation and that will cut off the blood supply letting this tag/hem thing settle down.

I am so happy that you had some moments of normalcy but I know it is like throwing cold water on your head when it feels like it is starting all over again.

Lecia,
When do you fly back to your home? We need to know when to pray for your safety again!! I think you regularly go to WF. Do you like it there? I am assuming it is some distance from your home. Making plans mentally to return to Mayo to see my GI doc there who is currently out of the office. I put some things on my bucket list, so I want to be able to do some of those things while I am still in good health and am trying to move forward mentally about all of that.

Hi buddies : ), XOXO !
Lecia-baby- I have no idea why pressure appeared again - but it definitely started developing after second BM probably and maybe the fact that I had to "hold it" made my sphincter went into micro -spasm that did not let go "on time" and made last BM damaging : (.
Pain subsided over night but after my first BM it is somewhat back , burning and some pressure and I can not sit comfortably - that is for sure. I am wondering if I should stop using Nif. cream all together since it is vasodilator -maybe in my current situation it is contraindicative , maybe I should stick with "shrinking" agents ??? My butt definitely feels better now with cold things on it and looks best after Tucks stay on it for a while.
I don't know ...I just hope that tomorrow I will get some answers and that doc. will be proactive since if he says to just keep up with soaks and fiber - I will laser in his forehead "I SUCK" words.
Cheryl - there is about 20 thousand CRSs in this are but striking a
good one is like striking a Mega Million, so no advantage of that - believe me. Sometimes it is better to be in smaller area where everybody knows everybody and who is good at something and who is not.
Thank you for prayers very much - my app. is at 2pm (western, 5 pm Eastern time zone for the USA). I hope your doc. will be back very soon and will be able to take you in ASAP !!!
LOVE TO ALL - I will write again soon XOXOOOOOOoooo....have to eat my puppy-chow now ...(sigh)

I hope he can give you better advice than to soak your bum.  I will pray that he is a better doctor than that.  I am so jaded though that I go in just thinking that the doctor is probably an idiot and wait for him to prove me wrong.  Make sure you tell him everything you have done so he doesn't try to get you to start at square one.  Maybe hold off on the dialtor cream today and see if that makes an improvement.
I go home on the 6th.  WF is about 4 hours away from me, but I live in a small town and have exhausted all the docs within a 2 hours range so I have to go out a bit further now.
Hang in there, Fiss.

Fiss,
I hate it that we are all on different time zones, and I have to calculate the differences! Nonetheless, I will try to figure out what that time would be for me in Illinois! Good luck with your appointment!!
I found an absolutely GREAT website today for IBS info and supplements. And I am more hopeful right now because of that. I think soluble fiber might be the key for me. Also, there is a naturapathic doc place in Oregon that I posted once, but that would not be a practical alternative for most of us (distance-wise). If anyone is interested, let me know and I will list the website.
Health to all,
Cheryl
Lecia,
Be sure to remind us again when you fly.

Dear Cheryl - you are 2 hours ahead of me so, if my app. is at 2pm, it is 4 pm at your place. Thanks for trying to be so precise with your
prayer time Image
Lecia- it is exactly my attitude now - lets see if he will prove me wrong Image I will make full written report today to hand it in with some forms that he sent to me to fill out. Image
Val-buddy :truebud:- I know that you are worried about me - don't be buddy , even if it is fistula I would not be terribly surprised - at least it will force them to remove my tag :snn: -I know, I know - sad to be have to come to that point to have some basic procedure, but what person to do. After so much pain, nothing can faze me - really Image Hope you are doing well buddy !!!???

I know what you mean that you wouldn't care if it were a fistula. Then there is a precise way to deal with it and they can remove the offending tag too. I find I am no longer afraid of procedures, just the thought of being in life long pain. And this is someone who used to cry (yes, even as an adult) when I would get my blood drawn.

OK, Fiss, now I know that it will be 4:00 pm my time. I hate deciphering these time zones!!! I will definitely pray for you for calmness and that the appt will go well. We can all pray tonight also at our regularly designated time (9:00 pm my time, I think).
I am somewhat encouraged today after accidentally stumbling across info on the net about IBS and how soluble fiber can help. Great explanation as to how it helps both diarhea and constipation, but most here don't have IBS, so I don't want to bore. But one thing that was stated was that 38% of IBS pations in one study contemplated suicide because of their symptoms, and that hopelessness due to symption severity, interference with life, and inadequacy of treatment were highlighted as crucial issues for all IBS patients. Furthermore, it states that it's tragically clear that a significant number of IBS pations cannot "just live with it." And I think there is some similarity to many of those same feelings that person with AF have even if they don't have IBS. I made my husband read the article, and I feel somewhat vindicated at the moment about the whole IBS issue. I want to stay around for awhile and hopefully see a cure for my son with Crohn's Disease, and a cure for autism would be nice as well.
