Bms are perfect today but uncomfortable and during and after the worst part is the after pressure pulsing it's like a muscle cramp so im guessing it's a spasm. The Botox must have worn off, no come back Botox I had my life back now it feels like it's slowly going back to what it was before Botox!! Please no

Well good news at least, it sounds like your resting pressure is too high so an lis should fix you for good or maybe another shot of Botox is all you need to give you additional healing? It's definitely fixable and you will get your life back

So if I am to understand this, chronic reocurring fissure is a result of high resting pressure.

LIS has a disadvantage of permanently weakening your asshole making you scared of old age where you may end up in diaper, however because of us with high resting pressure, weakening it would actually be a GOOD thing and therefore reset us to normal?

Honestly what I suspect is that we all start out with normal buttholes. We get a fissure, if it heals in 4-6 weeks then all is well. However, sometimes, the fissure causes our butthole to clench because the involuntary muscle senses there is a sore so it automatically applies pressure to close the wound and stop bleeding. This causes spasms. The wound doesn't heal very quickly because of the pressure not allowing blood flow to the wound. The more it's wounded, the more it tightens, and it increases the resting pressure. Chronic fissures will permanently increase the resting pressure due to spasms.

Okaybum that has given me hope! So since the Botox worked for 5 weeks my resting pressure must be high because during that time the Botox weakened the pressure/tone. Also my bms were soft the whole time now they are starting to get hard tips again I believe this is due to the pressure being back up an the fissure is starting to get irritated? Today was the worst I feel like I'm back at the start hard tip tons of blood tearing pain and then because of the pain the rest of the BM didn't come out. :(

(2nd Botox fail). :sadd:

Aww Missy I'm so sorry. I also had blood last night. I was feeling a lot of pressure and even though I had diarrhea earlier, the evening I had a bowel movement that was pencil thin, didn't hurt, but there was a lot of blood. Diarrhea followed that. This morning after my morning bm, there's been lots of pain and stinging again...this after feeling really good yesterday. Its crazy what a tiny little bm can do. I'm on both movicol and Coloxyl so this is disheartening. I'll be 2 weeks tomorrow. I'm so over my butt. spending way too much time wishing I could go back to normal. I just need to accept pain is the new normal for now.

My family has made it pretty clear that they are incredibly annoyed by having to drive 1hr 44min to the public hospital where I had the stuff done. If only I had gone private. I may switch crs if I need an lis. If I'm even allowed to get an lis. Maybe I'll be all good by my 6 week check up. Maybe it was the hem spot that bled. Ah well. Time will tell. Bring on smoothies and soft foods and week 2

Okaybum it's hard to accept that this could be an issue for life. I'm 30 with two small kids I can't raise them in this condition. I'm truly considering lis but I would want to the private but it costs $10,ooo nzd what country are you in?

I'm in Victoria, Australia. I've checked and now I'm fairly certain it was the acute fissure that opened and is causing the pain. I know I may have pelvic floor issues or a very slight prolapse after delivery. I'm just not sure where exactly. I'll be sure to ask if an lis is a possibility at my 6 week appt.

That's a lot of money. I looked into it in the usa, almost want to go home to my parents lol and it was 3,500 to 5,000.

If I do need one I may see a crs that's only an hour away but the surgical unit that he operates from has just reopened meaning there's a massive long wait. It be best being 40 mins away. However, there is another hospital that he takes patients at which is 1 hr 20 mins away.

I miss not having to worry about poop and my bum.

Thanks omb it's so disappointing mainly because I got a taste of freedom so was much harder. Not sure what's next for me
