Re: Change in pain and schedule

JHH, nothing, and I do mean nothing would stop my fissure pain other than the Nitro. Even getting in the bath didn't help. In early stages even the Nitro didn't seem to do that much, although it took me ages to work out it only seemed to last around 3 hours.
My fissure pain was unbearable and had me in tears regularly. The hem is just an annoying throb in comparison. But when you think the pain might be a setback it seems a big deal. I'm actually over the moon to have a hem in an odd kind of way!!

Although I have heard of other people's fissure pain being relieved by walking etc, so please don't take my example as black and white.

My pain is worse sitting! I am better standing and walking. Although not sure if this can aggravate the Fissure! Damn bloody things!

Sounds like a fissure, or a hem?
Can a hem cause spasms?.
Hi jhh! I was wondering the same thing about hems.
I will find out Wednesday when I see crs for first time.
My doc didn't feel any hems when he fingered me a couple months ago, but I was having blood in stool and fissure spasms...doc said it could be a fissure up in there since it started after a big poop.i think you could have spasms from a hem. I was wondering if my bloody poop could have been from hems even though my doc didn't feel any.i guess I will find out in two days. Jhh, have you had blood?

Lying on the side holding the buttcheeks apart works great for any pain except for the burning. At least for me.

Dela, please report back in this thread when you know.
Well, the first 14 days I was sure I was just having a hem. Felt just like the other times I suffered with those.
Then I had blood on the paper for two days, and the burning spasms started. Saw a doc, and he said probably fissure+hem.
I could also feel a hem in there at about 1-2 o'clock. That one has since disappeared, but Im pretty sure I have another 6 o'clock instead now. Thats also where I think my fissure is located.
I havnt seen any blood since, and that was nearly 3 weeks ago.

The burn is the killer for me. This is a bit too much info... But I was so desperate to get relief, I found if I go to the toilet in my bidet with some warm water, there is no pain. And seems a little better through the day. Although I won't get my hopes up.....

That's great that you haven't had blood in three weeks.are you taking a stool softener?my butt hurts on left side. I don't think that where it hurts determines the location of fissure or hem.i alway get charley horse feeling on left side, but a week or two ago I looked with a mirror and looked like a possible fissure or raw skin tag at 12 o'clock position. I will definitely be asking crs a million questions Wednesday and I will list them all on here Wednesday. I will ask crs questions for anyone else too. Gonna get my money's worth out of that dude! Lol.

Blood or not, there is still something very wrong down there, and as I understand it, not everyone bleeds.
Correct me if Im wrong, but 12 o'clock, isnt that closest to the genitals?
