Yes, its feels like I have been though the ringer and really don't know how this is going to turn out. It's becoming so very hard to see it turning out well. All this severe pain, at a minimum, is leaving my nervous system with far too much to remember, and it will. It is feeling a lot like the hemorrhoidectomy I had 11 years ago that started all this pelvic pain for me. This beast that took me so many years to subdue is back stronger than ever. Thankfully, I have a new pelvic pain specialist team that is so caring and willing and ready to work with me when the time is right. I just know that healing the tissue is only going to be a small part for me, but no small feat, especially with the spasm I poop through. For the last 2 days I have had a raw pulsating free nerve in the surgical area firing and throbbing. I hope it is just dying and being all dramatic about it ;)
That's interesting that your EUA is on a Saturday. They don't do anything on a Saturday around here. Do you really like your CRS? I assume you trust his judgement re: your sphinter tone? I know what you mean about incontinence vs. pain. Many people seem to get to that point after suffering for so long. Do you know if the second LIS will be on the same side or the other side? Why wouldn't he do the flap the same day? Flap surgery sounds a lot more painful am I right?
