That is just horrible Image :( Image ... Maybe than complain to the head of the hospital !!!! They messed up - so they have to amend it !!!!! At least by giving you a new app. like .... TOMORROW Image Image Image Image !!!!!
Oh boy , try to take those soaks and ask at least for Vallium till you get your new app. !!! Can't they call it in for you ? : (( I am so sorry Image Image Image
And about your hair - if you think it is suddenly falling out - ask them to do some blood panels including full thyroid !!!! T3, T4 and TSH !!!! If thyroid is not functioning right, than healing is very slow. I always was sure that my thyroid is off, but nobody payed attention and all tests were coming normal till THIS year when they finally saw some changes there Image . Doctors rely on tests alone instead of looking at the whole picture Image Image Image . I had allll symptoms of slow thyroid for years ( tiredness, crazy periods, dry eyes and skin, my body temp. was always 95.7 , I could not stand cold to the point that at 50 F I would get headache and felt like my ears are freezing Image , my hair got dry and was growing slow and my eyebrows thinned , my nails got brittle and I started having candida infections, got heart arrhythmia ) BUT, all of that was attributed to "separate" problems and actually I was probably subclinically hypothyroid FOR YEARS !!!!! I tried to explain the possibility - but hey - what we patients know LMAO !!!!???? Insane ... really....
Image
So - try to make them do those tests for you Image If they come back normal - they will do nothing, unfortunately, but you might try some natural remedies to stimulate thyroid Image
Stress is "deadly" for adrenals and thyroid : (((, and it can also cause hair to fall out more than usual.
Hope it all sorts out very soon Image Image Image

Thank you Fissy :)
It seems that I don`t get an exam before after EASTER!!!
Madness. The head of surgery is one of the CRS who can do the ultrasound test so no luck there...
I have asked for an appointment at the hosipital where I had partial LIS in 08. Time will show when I will get that.
Drink 1,25 packet of Movicol each day. This keep my BM soft and easy to pass. The waiting is driving me mad!

Damn that's terrible Lars :( Can you try to get it done at the emergency room or something? I know Norway observes a pretty long holiday for Easter too so that wait just sucks. Or perhaps travel out of the area to another hospital further away -- there must be something within traveling distance?

That's awful lars Image
I've tried the ER approach (A&E in the UK) and all they did was send me packing with ANUSOL Image needless to say, I was really angered by that since i'd already tried all the creams and suppositories, Anusol isn't even used for fissures, you'd think they'd know that!

Hey Lars, I noticed that your age counter recently changed from 29 to 30. I know the way you probably spent it likely isn't the way a birthday would ideally be spent, with a fissure and scheduling screw-ups and all, but wanted to wish you a good one (as good as possible) anyway!

lars - i don't get on here much anymore but i stopped in and saw that you've had a setback. i'm sorry to hear that! i know how frustrating it is dealing with awful pain and crappy drs! i hope everything gets resolved soon. a second LIS wouldn't be the worst thing in the world and it just may be what you need. remember, i've had 2 and my sphincter is still tight as all hell. LOL
we can never forget that these things are forever. even when it seems like it's gone it will inevitably rear its ugly head if/when you let your guard down. stick to the movicol for the rest of your life if you have to. i will be on miralax forever! get rid of the junk in your diet and stick to the basics for awhile. do you have any diltiazem or nitro? use that if you do! at least it may help while you're waiting to see someone.
hang in there buddy, and good luck!

Thanks all
Yes I just turned 30 years of age.
And it came with the return of the fissure. My worst nightmare :(
I don`t think I will get an exam before after easter. That sucks big time.....I need the ultrasound test before I do a second LIS. My first was only a partial LIS and not a complete so it should not be a problem.
HELL. I will do ask many LIS as it takes do relax my damn muscle.
No diltiazem or nitro. It just give me headache and it has not made me looser earlier.

Hey Lars, any chance you can ask for some Valium like Fiss mentioned? It may help for the next few weeks until you can see the doctor... In the worst case it'll make you sleepy and hopefully help you get more rest.
