Hi buddies
- I survived
!!!! I still can't believe I did , but hey - what a wonderful feeling
!!!
The CRS had some serious and complicated surgery before my turn and was late so I spent hour and half waiting all hooked up in my room, but they let my hubby in to make me company which was absolutely wonderful of them to do since it was totally out of any protocol or regulations - whole crew was so nice. The only uncomfortable thing was finding my veins for IV - three nurses tried many times in many places until they just gave up and put the needle in the main vein of my left hand. When I woke up in recovery room , nurse was like " what happened here" LOL, I was full of small bandages on my both hands.
Since I spent so much time awake in that room I had a chance to ask in detail about all of the equipment and procedure and also saw colonoscope and how " wonderfully" long it is LOL black and flexible and with inches printed on it . Once my CRS came all went so fast- drip was started and I turned on my side . Last thing I saw were my doctor and his assistant with full visors over their faces and I though- OMG, poor guys , who knows what happens here when they start going in - what gushes out
. I felt like saying special thanks for doing this job at all but my eyes felt like out of focus and I went in lala-lend - the beautiful land of "nothingness"
. Next thing I remember was being nice and warm and hearing nurses talk but I did not want to open my eyes it was so cozy
. I did not feel any pain and I was so relaxed I wanted to enjoy moment of peace as long as possible - but than I fell asleep again !
Than I heard my name gently called - I wanted so much to go back to sleep but I knew that my "spa" moments are over
.
When I opened my eyes nurse told me that all looked just great - whole colon is in perfect shape and than my hubby stormed in with pictures in his hand all smiles. He told me that he was just talking with my CRS and that he also complemented "my guts" and showed me the most important picture of all - THE PHOTO OF MY FISSURE !!!! The fissure that nobody could see and that everybody thought gone except my new CRS (and me , of course)!! He did some special maneuver , I do not even know how he did it - he turned camera to look at my anus from inside out !!!! The bugger is so clearly seen
!!! It is healed on the surface, but white color and whole area is red and inflamed around anus inside
! I am so glad I had colonoscopy and this picture as a proof that fissure is the culprit of it all !!! CRS told my hubby that he will decide exact procedure once he relaxes my sphincter an 29th and looks in detail properties of the fissure. He said that I am definitely extremely tight there, but that he will fix it all on 29th. I don't know yet what he will do , but I am starting to trust this guy completely - so far he did fantastic job (knock knock knock). Oh, I forgot one more thing LOL- when I woke up nurse said that I have a tube up my butt and I was like
WHAT ??? "Oh, I will take it out , just turn a little - it is small tube to let all of the gas go out" ! Well, well
- I wish they hand the out LOL. Anyway - that helped with majority of gas that they pump in go out so I did not have any cramping or pain afterwards - I thought it was really neat idea and almost cried that somebody thought about that - to make me more comfortable
- what a refreshing thing after so may times I felt like being treated like just "peace of meat" and one that is not worth even looking at seriously : (.
I fell asleep in the car immediately again, came home at 5:30, eat some chicken soup, fell asleep again - woke up around 9, came down to have some rice and veggies and a tea and now I am writing to you my dearest buddies
!!!
Thank you all for every single prayer, every encouraging word, every thought, every advice and all the love - I don't know what would I do without all of you !!!!
I will write tomorrow as soon as I wake up again !!!
LOVE TO ALL :sprinkleheart:
