I have been in so much pain the past few years from my fissure. My doctor told me there was nothing more she could do for me, so she sent me to a surgeon. He took all of 20 seconds to look me over and said surgery was the only way to remedy the problem. I am going in Thursday afternoon (tomorrow). I am a little scared, but need to get past all of this pain!
Hi Debbie, and welcome to our little board....hope you had a chance to read the surgery threads some and you have a good idea what you are in for today. You said you had the fissure for years, wow...then it is about time to end that misery, in fact it is past time.... We'll be waiting to hear how it all went!
try to keep on top of your pain, never wait for pain to kick in, take ain relief regular, even if you feel no pain, cause if you stop and wait for paain, you will be in a very sore place
Glad to hear things went well the first day, but watch out, you can feel pretty good he first day and then when everything starts to wear off reality strikes the second day...so if that is the case don't be too worried, it'll improve in a few days, little by little.
