Hello, How is everyone doing in general?

Postby Guest » 07 Sep 2007, 18:47

Hello,
Just checking in here. How is everyone doing? Please feel free to respond to this thread because I don't get to talk to everyone. I am doing good considering I have had only a few bad days since August 6. I am one of the Botox queens here. I just wanted to check in and ask everyone "How ya doing?" I am here to listen if anyone needs to chat. God knows everyone listen to me all summer. :)
Thanks Patty..
P.S. Especially buttgirl I would like to know hoew you are doing with your Botox shot? :D

You are so sweet Patty! Let me give you a hug!
I am finally doing better after a really tough 3 weeks. It had gotten me pretty down in the dumps because you know it is going take awhile to get better but listening to other people's butt problems helps me know I am not alone and gets my mind off of it for awhile.
Not much else going on in my life. Just getting the kids back into the school routine.
Have a good weekend everybody! And thanks for starting this thread BBG!Image

Hi everybody! I am doing pretty darn good. I am so happy to hear Patty is so much better! I am thrilled that Gareth is getting his little buddy bear! They are going to make a great pair, don't you think. I want one!!
I don't like hearing that Christie is getting a bit of pain after doing so well on her botox. I am sending good healing vibes her way!
And I am very glad that my good friend Lecia is doing a bit better with her arse problems. She has been here so much for all of us; she is certainly the star here and we are all her biggest fans, aren't we?

Hey everyone,
Gareth-that puppy is to die for. He is so cute I just want to scoop him up and squeeze him. I love puppies. The little fat bellies and the puppy breath. You have been doing a lot of traveling it sounds like. I can't believe you have to fly all the way to MN to get him.
Kim-thanks for the kind words. You know how these things can be up and down and today is a bit more down but overall things have improved so I can't complain!
Toodles for now,
Lecia

I am doing fairly well..still glad I had the surgery..Although I still bleed some and feel destined to have these problems the rest of my life! Since I cannot seem to cure my constipation problems and dr's simply don't care about it...Where they did my cut it hurts but nothing like a fissure I guess...Only here I can complain of these wonderful problems. I have to go in for a physical in a few weeks and wonder if I should suggest seeing a gi or what for these problems, I feel beyond the realm of regular help!!

Hey Noelle,
Yes I think you should see a specialist for the constipation.
Do things like milk of magnesia or miralax help?
I take that every day (not a full dose) and will probably stay on it indefinitely.

I have been on miralax a couple years..not to be gross but that stuff makes everything really messy-when it actually works..Is MOM that really disgusting tasting stuff-kind of bitter?? I took that after my surgery and it made me really sick! I have been eating tons of shredded wheat as well as those fiber one bars plus the usual water and excercise. From what I read the only option left is to take my intestine out and have a colostomy bag, I hope I can come up with something better!

I would rather drink MOM than have a colostomy though I have been so desperate that I have asked several doctors about the option since going to the bathroom has been agony for 5 years with my pudendal neuralgia.
The MOM comes in different flavors-mint, cherry and maybe a third. You could also adjust the miralax dosage. I take half a dose of miralax and half a dose of MOM.
Have you tried psyillium and acidophilos? I can't remember if you had tried the fish or flax seed oils. I know I have probably mentioned this before but there is a great supplement from www.procapslabs.com that I like that is has both soluble and insoluble fiber with acidophilis. That stuff has really been a godsend to me. I can send you some of mine-I have a huge 1000 capsule bottle!

Hi Patty,
I'm glad to report at my last appt. w/CRS a few weeks ago, she said my fissure had healed. A miracle! But, she found two thrombosed hemorrhoids. Those are still sore and are hindering the physical therapy I'm doing now.
I attribute my healing mainly to Miralax, coupled with Sitz baths and Nifedipine, and dread the day when I decide to discontinue it. Like you, I assume I will always be prone to these problems.
Thanks for asking.
