This is so great. I remember comming to this forum, and feeling bad for you to still suffer even after LIS. There is hope for all of us!
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Wow Suzy, you are an amazing woman! You have given me so much confidence that I can get through these tough times. You are very brave, and it is so good that you have helped so many others who have had the flap surgery. You have made excellent progress in your recovery, and back on the treadmill! Wow. I so miss my running, I will get back to it. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

July 2014-Diagnosed High Resting Pressure
LIS performed on 17.9.14
Ongoing pain/re-tears. Awaiting pressure test results.

Weird Question- Do you get any butt cheek scar from this surgery? I am 25 M candidate about to have it, and i just want to know if the donor site will leave permanent scarring. I guess its a good place to have a scar after all but it can make for an awkward discussion if I ever go streaking again (hopefully soon enough).
