Behcets disease is an autoimmune condition causing mouth and genital ulceration and also eye problems so I guess anal fissures are also going to be an issue to - sorry ot hear that you have it Savaici.

I know its hard but keep fighting and don't give up! I kept going back and insisting there was something wrong when the doctors swore there wasn't anything. I proved them wrong when they found a fistula AND a fissure further up (as you know!). It's a long road to recovery and I don't think I am there at all yet, despite a large improvement. I am sure your scan will show something and if it shows nothing major don't give up if you still have coccyx pain. Ask for an EUA and agree for them to sort whatever they find. Good luck for finding out your scan results and appointment. I'm sorry to hear about the funerals too, you're right ETO the darker nights (and relentless rain!) don't help. Thinking about you, let me know how you get on :)

Well, had my appointment with mr W today......
He wants me to have a physiology test done again, as the last one was two years ago, before he can decide on the next plan of action.
If the results come back as still low resting pressure, advancement flap it is....
If they come back elevated... Lis.
He said I have classic symptoms of elevated spasms, but needs to be sure.
In the mean time I'm to try using recto again... Although I get crushing headaches he said its worth persavereing with, and the headaches should disappear after 10 days.
Any one got any tips on how to ease myself into recto???

So that's where I am..... Big sigh.

Hi OMB,
Sounds like you are moving forwards, slowly but surely you will get there.Mr W sounds like he is making sure he is doing the right thing. I know it is so disheartening when there seems to be no outcome and immediate solution.
What I do with the Nitro is apply 1cm first then up it to 1.5 then the full 2 cm. this seems to ease it in slowly and the headaches always go for me after a few weeks. I am on it again (for the third time)... Sigh. Don't do what I did though and apply straight after bathing, my head nearly blew off! Keep fighting xxxxxx

Hi omb, was thinking about u hope u feel a wee bit better this morning. About the nitro yeah as racheal said dont use it after the bath i felt as if i was goin to pass out when i did it. The way i do it is i put a wee bit on 3 times a day, a wee bit after my bowel movement, then again in afternoon and last thing b4 i go to sleep. If i put it all on at the one time i also would have bad headaches. Also i dont put it insude i gently apply it on and around where i think my fissure is. Hope u get some ease omb xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you puzzledbutt.... I will dab a teeny tiny bit on and see how it goes. I'm not starting it until next week, as I've had a very tough week this week, and couldn't be dealing with a bad head on top of it all!!

Hi OMB,
It's great that you finally have a sense of direction - Even if it's not your ideal solution. Do you feel a sense of relief in some respects??
You just sound exhausted actually & worn out with everything, like you just need to be tucked up in bed for a very long sleep! :comfort:
Hopefully your bad weeks will start to come better ones very soon x x and the Nitro gives you your needed pain relief in the meantime x x Take care & big hug.......
