Hi OMB, I have had to reopen a new account, formerly sue27uk. I hope you enjoy your holiday, time away sounds fabulous!! Well, quick update, I am doing ok. My coccyx pain is now intermittent, but I'm guessing its the fissure so hoping the botox will help! My GP said the fistula site is healing nicely and complimented the surgeon I went to, said he had made a good job!! No infection with that so it looks like its just the fissure to heal now, fingers crossed for that happening. I am back to wrok tomorrow, the true test but hope it will be ok. Really hope you have enjoyed your holiday and keep me updated about your MRI, hopefully that will show if theres anything else going on :)

Hi all..... I'm back from my holiday. Had a really nice relaxing time. There was lots of fresh foods to choose from... So I didn't have a problem choosing anything to eat at all.
Had a blip on Friday, where I bled from a prickly bm.... Think I had got a bit dehydrated... My own fault.
I didn't let it spoil my holiday, even though my heart sank, I just took ibuprofen and it seemed to take the edge off.
The Himalayas are throbbing again though...... They really don't like travelling!!

Hi OMB,

Glad you had a good holiday. Sorry about the blip and those damn mountains. When do you get the result from the MRI? I do hope all will be okay. Did you have any joy with the proctosedyl? It took my mountain grape down, and when it occasionally swells now, I always have it at hand... Love to you xxxxxx

Those darn Himalayas, arrgh!!!

I bet it was Everest himself that gave you all the problems. Glad to hear that you had a good holiday anyway.
Ohh well, you'll get back on track with your healing though regardless. Not gonna let any 'mountain range' spoil
this girls holiday, you go OMB!!

Keep up that fighting spirit!!

Yes butt.... Gotta keep on fighting!!

Rachael.... My appointment is on the 14th.... Same day as yours!! I'm a bit nervous as to what has shown up, and what the next step for me is, as I know full well it's advancement flap. Freddie fissure doesn't seem to want to heal without medical intervention... God knows I've been trying for the last two and a half years!! (I know, I know.... You should never name them... It's so wrong!! Lol)

Sorry to read about your troubles. I really was hoping botox would be as good for you, as it was for R, W, and myself.

Why do you think next step is flap? Why not LIS?
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

:smilyhug: Hi OMB,
Same day! I will be thinking of you... Freddie! Lol. Probably Freddie Krueger! Evil, sly and so bloody horrible!
Did mr W say it would be flap next then... I know when you saw the other CRS he said that was the way forward? I do hope you can get the right treatment that will work for you. There will be an end to this my lovely friend.

OMB x
It's great to read you had a lovely relaxing time away and good to see you back too :D
Hope it's not too depressing being back to the darker, cooler & shorter days!
Was it a hem that caused you your last bit of bleeding?? I got bad diahrroea at the end of my holiday, which made one of my hems bleed too.....
It must be frustrating for you to read all the healing stories here when you are seeing no major improvements, but I do wish you all the very best with your up & coming appointment on the 14th and hope that some decision is made that can only work for you. I'm pretty sure most of us will be sticking with you, through your recovery & right to the end!!
