Thanks all.
I've got a date for the MRI scan. 17th September. Not too long to wait.
I have emailed mr Windsor with a few questions, and I am waiting for a response for that.
Not much else to report. Still using honey orally and smearingly!! No difference as yet.

Hi owmybum
Thought for sure I posted here before, but looks like a not Image . Anyway, I was wondering would that be the Manuka honey or not that your using. How long have you been using it?
Also you say the Dr. told you that your "resting pressure" is normal, do you feel this is the case? Are you considering LIS?
Great to hear of your anniversary and good luck with your Sept 17th date, hope all goes well.

Hi Owmybum, I'm sorry to hear you're not doing too well. I thought for sure the botox would help you. I hope your MRI gives you answers. Remember if your fissure doesn't heal there's always the advancement flap surgery. It's really not as bad as you might think. I'm almost 4 months out now. I have a little bit of pelvic floor pain but since I found out what it was I use some of the old exercises I learned a few years back and it seems to help. I can sit and walk and eat a fairly normal diet now.
When I do have a bad day of IBS it's not so bad anymore. I'm still really careful and probably will be the rest of my life but I'm in a much better place than I was last year at this time. I'll say a little prayer for you and hope you start to feel good really soon. Wishing you all the best. Suzy

Thank you Suzy.... I think I will probably end up having the flap surgery. I thought I was headed for it anyway, so I am more than prepared if I have it.
Buttastic.....yes, I'm using manuka honey. I take a good teaspoon of it and put some on my butt at night.
I don't particularly think I have a normal resting pressure. When I am in increased pain I can think about my anus and physically relax it, so I do think it is slightly elevated.
I will have to ask my crs a lot more questions before I would even consider lis for me.
