Hi Jen,
Sorry I've been missing, it was hard to get to the computer with all the kids home. Alot of cooking, and playing with my granddaughter! Image
I am hoping you are seeing and feeling an improvement in the butt! Could the bleeding be from the hemmie removal? Did you ever find out what procedure he did use? When do you see the Dr. again for recheck? Hoping things are really improving for you, it is sometimes hard to see day to day but much easier to see week to week.

You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Take care,
Jo

jen - i really think you need to stop looking at it and pulling at it i know it's hard, and i know i'll be in that same place in 2 weeks, but i really think it can't be helping you to be so worried about everything. try to relax! it probably looks just like anyone else's butt would after surgery. i know mine looked like hell! but it slowly went back to normal (although mine went back to fissure-normal. LOL) in no time your butt will be feeling and looking great and you'll feel silly for freaking out so much! just give it some time! Image

Lecia -
When you had the I&D done for your thrombosed hemmies - how long did it take for the incision to heal?

I think it took about 3 weeks to heal but you have to remember that I had two surgeries on that same exact spot so that area was just so tender and delicate anyway.

Do you think you had an I&D?

No - I don't think I had an I&D, but I have seen them done and I think my incision is more similar to that than anything. I am not very happy with the incision at all - the location, dept, ect.

Kim - I forgot to tell you that I never had a tag either. I am just swollen now so it looks like I have a bunch. Whenever I see these animated fissure charts or pictures at the doctors office - none of them look like mine, because mine is just a huge papercut on my bum that never wants to stay healed!

You just need to give it time, Jen. You are now set up to heal, but it will take several weeks, hopefully less than a month since it's been a week for you now. Do try to be patients and just ask yourself how your pain levels/quality of life are now compared to before. As long as you continue to feel better, that is what really counts right now.
Good luck!
